River Gypsies Guidebooks

We're here for the rivers.
We're dedicated to experiencing rivers everywhere. Our goal is to be local paddlers anywhere we go, and to pass that local insight on to you. Whether it's sharing our intimate knowledge of our home area in North Carolina Rivers & Creeks, or giving insight into the whitewater of the whole continent - gathered over a decade of travel and paddling with locals everywhere - coming soon in The River Gypsies' Guide to North America, our goal is to make information available that helps you live your whitewater dreams.

The River Gypsies' Guide to North America
[coming 04/5/2010]

The River Gypsies' Guide to North America is at the printer! This guide to the top 294 day runs from class III-V+ in 9 highlighted destination regions across the continent will be packed with information helping you to have the perfect paddling road trip, including when is the best time to travel to each region. We've filtered out all of the marginal runs and left enough classic whitewater from each region to keep you occupied for a 1-2 week trip. We're also loading the book down with info on finding shuttles, camping spots, where to get a shower, internet, or a cold beer. Our hope is that this book will redefine the way that whitewater guides can help paddlers enjoy a region that is not their home area.
